| | Every image tells a story. As a photographer and writer, my calling is to listen, to say "please" and "thank you" and to share these stories with you--to invite you to look, literally, through my lens, my chosen window on the world. the more I slow down, the more convinced I am that critters want to connect with us. I hope through my photography to share what I feel in the outdoors, to spark experiences of connection for others who view these photographs, and to inspire folks to see the world around them in a new and vibrant way. Folks often want technical details and I am happy to share these, too: spent my childhood in Fairfax County, VA and moved to the Outer Banks permanently in 1976. I began my photographic career working for a local newspaper and for local government as Public Information Officer, concentrating on black and white photography and darkroom development as well as research and writing. I now shoot exclusively in digital, using a Nikon D300 and a variety of Nikor lenses. Want to know more?
