|Yellowhouse Gallery Interior ~ Local Art, Photographs & Beach Scenes
Yellowhouse Gallery features exquisite local photography, paintings and prints by artists who live and create
fulltime on the Outer Banks as well as by artists who share a deep love for our area. Many of these, while not
fulltime residents, are “locale” artists who own second homes here, live in the region, or vacation here several
times each year. While many of our artists find their inspiration in the seashore, their expressions and chosen
media vary. We offer original paintings, prints and giclees in oil, pastels, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media;
we also have local artist jewelry and a small collection of local handmade wooden toys. In addition to gallery owner
Eve Turek's photography, we represent several other local resident photographers. E. M. Corsa's fanciful critters
and colorful beach prints, cards, and stickers delight all ages; her original creations reveal a sophisticated sense
of humor and are often created with an antique map image acquired from Yellowhouse as the background. Speaking of
maps, we have a wide collection of modern Outer Banks maps as well as continuing to offer antique coastal charts of
our area. Our art offerings are not limited to wall art. Stephanie Kiker’s colorful graphic designs grace light
switchplates, iPhone covers, cutting boards, coasters, mousepads and cuff bracelets in addition to wall tiles suitable
for hanging. We represent two local jewelers; one designs sterling and larimar earrings, pendants, rings and bracelets, and the other wraps natural stones with silver and gold.
Owner Pete Turek creates custom mats and frames in the frame shop portion of the gallery. See the separate section on
Framing for more details about our custom framing services.
The gallery's interior includes a remodeling which features even more original
photographs and art prints by local artists.
Gallery owner Eve Turek offers her nature photography with an emphasis on
Outer Banks landscapes, seascapes, and birds and critters.
